Pixie’s Sinugba was born from a family’s passion over healthy high – protein food, deboning and prayer. In 1998, the Valencia family, as a leap of faith, sailed to Manila, settling in Intramuros, after their daughter “Pixie” was drafted as a scholar for the women’s basketball team of Lyceum Philippines and at the same time, as a member of the RP Women’s Basketball Training Pool. As an athlete, she was advised to have a high protein, low fat diet. And milkfish or bangus is just perfect for her.
The first official Pixie’s Sinugba outlet bearing their registered name was established in Tondo for a very simple reason – to feel the market with less risk. However, the response was more than expected. Doctors from the nearby hospitals were among their first customers, then, their patients and their families. Orders were received from schools and hospitals.
Since then, there was no stopping Pixie’s Sinugba’s growth. Their Mindanao Avenue branch opened in June, 2003. Then at Mother Ignacia (in front of ABS-CBN exit} November of the same year.
Franchise Information
Since they got Francorp in August 2007, they have been swamped with franchise applications. A Pixie’s Sinugba franchise is available in takeout counter format and would only require a total investment of about P400,000 to P600,000, inclusive of the franchise fee of P100,000, for a minimum of a 10-15 sqm. area. This package is available for the first 20 franchisees. The company hopes to expand to 300 stores in 5 years, hoping to share the business with entrepreneurs who have the desire for healthy living and the heart to give jobs to the marginalized and less privileged.
