3M Pizza Pie is the first commercialized Pinoy Pizza in the country.
It has been in operations since 1969 and to many is seen not only as a business house but an institution. It currently operates over 50 company/dealership outlets spreading from Aparri, Cagayan to Virac, Catanduanes.
With over 37 years of experience in the fast food business, 3M Pizza Pie has made millions of Filipino pizza lovers happy with its crispy thin crust and sweet home-style sauce, a barrage of homegrown ham-squares, and cheddar cheese.
With more and more pizza chains in the market today (not to mention, the tight competition,) 3M Pizza Pie plans to re-establish itself as one of the leading pizza companies in the Philippines by reinventing the brand and upgrading its image.
History
3M was founded by Merle B. Hemedes, when she came back to the Philippines from the U.S. and wanted to introduce pizza in the country in an accessible mode. Having been a regular pizza lover in New York, she reinvented her pizza dishes by catering to the sweet taste of Filipinos with a unique sauce and thin crispy crust topped with ham instead of pepperoni. This made the pizza more affordable to the Filipino masses.
As its humble beginnings, the first outlet was a small kiosk located outside their toyshop business at Araneta Arcade in Quezon City. It became an instant success since it was the first time many Filipinos tasted pizza.
In 1971, her sister Minerva B. Miller and Milagros B. Villar, joined her and founded m3(cube) Enterprises, Inc. A few years later, another sister, Leandra P. Pascual joined the company and helped in the management.
By 1996, M3 was dissolved when Milagros Villar decided to leave the company. The
three sisters who stayed together have reincorporated under the name Supremos
Food Corporation.
37 years since the four(4) sisters established the business, the torch has been passed on the four (4) dynamic entrepreneurs last September 17, 2006 – the day the first 3M Pizza Pie store was established.
Under new management, 3M Pizza Pie plans to re-establish itself as the leading quick-serve pizza, pasta & snacks in the country by reinventing the brand and upgrading its image.
